I am Aaron Haupert. Born and raised in Duluth, MN. A graduate of Denfeld High School. Growing up I participated in a variety of sports including football, soccer, basketball, and others. I lettered in high school hockey, baseball, cross country and track. Growing up in West Duluth and going to Denfeld I was able to learn from many great coaches and teammates. The same can be said for the various camps and summer teams I participated on including coaches and players from the Duluth area and around the world.
A graduate of Saint Mary’s Univerity of MN, in Winona, MN I participated in hockey and baseball and got my start coaching hockey at the university in the men’s hockey program. After coaching in the men’s program for five years, I worked as an assistant coach for the women’s hockey team for six years. During these eleven + years I was able to learn from many established college coaches and players and collegiant staff members from strength and conditioning to other sport coaches. During my time at SMU I coached summer hockey camps for the University and for the surrounding youth programs, also during this time I began my relationship with MN Hockey working as coach and elevator for High Performance Programs and have served in various capacities, currently evaluating with the Girls 16 program.
I have also volunteered as coach at Duluth Denfeld High School, volunteered as coach and video coach for The Collge of St. Scholastica Men’s Hockey Team and coached junior hockey for one season. I have worked and volunteered the past four years in various capacities and camps for the Duluth Amateur Hockey Association, including learn to skate programs, Mite 1 and 2 Summer programs, etc. This year began my first year working for Staubers Goalcrease and look forward to continuing that this coming winter. I am a USA Hockey Level 5 Certified Coach. I have coached and volunteered with college hockey or junior teams for 14+ years, I have coached youth and high school players for 15+ years, and served MN/USA Hockey in some capacity for 8+ years.
I have worked with fitness and training throughout my athletic and coaching careers. I have 5+ years working as a fitness/training instructor, having implemented and designed a myriad of training programs. I am a National Exercise Trainers Association (NETA) Certified Group Fitness, Personal Trainer, Kettlbell, & HIIT instructor and have studied under the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA), as well. I am currently pursuing my masters from The College of St. Scholastica in Exercise Phsyiology and may consider pursuing my masters in physical therapy and teaching as well.
My other passions include singing and songwriting, playing guitar, working with animals, history, just about any “olgy” you can think of, how science and technology can help us sustain our earth, how we can better help sustain our earth, the psychology of living of and with love as opposed to fear, the natural laws, and ultimately, making the world a better place.
